Metal icon Ozzy Osbourne died just days after his final performance in front of thousands of people, according to multiple reports. The Black Sabbath frontman was 76.

So far, no cause of death has been revealed, but Osbourne has long had Parkinson’s disease.

“Parkinson’s disease is a movement disorder of the nervous system that worsens over time,” Mayo Clinic states. “The nervous system is a network of nerve cells that controls many parts of the body, including movement.”

Osbourne’s final statement on social media before he passed away is fitting. On July 21, he shared a photo on his official Instagram page with a concert poster from his final show. The poster says “Ozzy Osbourne” and “Back to the Beginning,” which was the name of his final concert, along with the phrase, “The Final Show.” The post also pictured and named the members of Black Sabbath.

Osbourne and Black Sabbath performed their final show on July 5, dubbed their Back to the Beginning concert, which took place in Osbourne’s home turf of Birmingham, England.

The Independent posted a statement from his family about the death: “It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time,” it stated.

The UK Sun also reported his death, noting that he had long struggled with Parkinson’s disease. Also, the Mirror also reported that Osbourne is dead and passed away surrounded by family and loved ones.

It’s incredible that Osbourne was able to perform one final show before passing. According to the Mirror, Ozzy’s wife Sharon Osbourne said ahead of the show that Ozzy was “working with his therapist every single day.” She added, “He’s doing really well, actually. Ozzy’s number one thing in life is his fans, so he’s working hard to be ready for them, to make this show the perfect way to end things.”
