After several delays, Assassin’s Creed Shadows is finally set to release on 20 March.

If the leaked file size is anything to go by, it sounds as if we’re in for an absolute chungus of a game.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows will take players to Feudal Japan, with gameplay switching between samurai Yasuke and shinobi Naoe.

If you haven’t got your pre-order in yet, you may want to consider doing so as Ubisoft recently announced a nice incentive.

Those who pre-order Assassin’s Creed Shadows will secure the game’s first DLC expansion, Claws of Awaji, for free when it releases.

The DLC promises an additional 10 hours of new content, including a new region to explore and a new weapon type.

That’s not all that’s on the way though besides the base game itself.

It’s now been revealed that Assassin’s Creed Shadows is set to receive a prequel too in the form of a manga.

“Assassin’s Creed Shadows will get its own manga,” Ubisoft tweeted.

“Discover the official prequel of the game. Follow the story a young Assassin apprentice, as she fights against the growing presence of the Templars order in Japan.”

For those based in IRL Japan, the manga will be released alongside the game itself.

For those of us who reside elsewhere, Ubisoft simply confirmed that the manga will be released “later”.

Still, that means there’s something to look forward to post-launch – in addition to the Claws of Awaji DLC, of course.

The game is set to launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
