Elon Musk might lose his faith in Overwatch after seeing what Blizzard has done to it with the disgraceful sequel.

Even though Elon Musk holds high-ranking roles across Tesla, Twitter, SpaceX, and soon, the US government itself, the billionaire’s passion for video games, especially Overwatch, is well-known and documented.

While he’s a fan of the franchise, he had always hoped that it wouldn’t fall into the trap of bringing a lame story in the future. Unfortunately, Blizzard made his worst fears a reality when it released Overwatch 2.
Elon Musk will absolutely despise Overwatch 2 and Blizzard

In an interview with Sam Altman, president of Y Combinator, Elon Musk reiterated his love for Blizzard Entertainment’s popular hero shooter. He’s always been a big fan of the franchise and, at some point, even requested Amber Heard to cosplay as everyone’s favorite character, Mercy.
However, Musk also revealed that he’s a big fan of Deus Ex franchise. However, he’s heard that the latest Deus Ex game’s narrative isn’t that great, and he considers that aspect to be quite lame.
That’s the criticism I’ve heard of the latest Deus Ex, is that the storytelling is kind of lame.
It’s quite clear that Musk loves good storytelling and narrative over everything else in a game. He’ll be quite sad to know that his favorite hero-shooter, Overwatch, has headed down the same path with its sequel, which was all centered on elevating the franchise’s storyline.
Overwatch 2‘s story has been quite a disaster because Blizzard decided to axe the co-op content for the game. That’s not all; the rollout of story missions and other PvE aspects has been quite painful to see. This is quite disappointing, considering the fact that the series has a variety of unique characters and the potential they had in the sequel.
Path of Exile 2 has exiled Elon Musk

It seems like Path of Exile 2 simply can’t handle a player of Musk’s standards. The tech billionaire has been kicked from the RPG for doing way too many actions in a short time frame.
Musk suggests that he was simply too good at the game, and its anti-cheating software accidentally assumed that he was using some sort of hack or cheat. It’s not the first time we’ve seen Path of Exile 2 being bashed for such an incident.

Musk is a big gamer and quite competitive in other big titles. A few months ago, he revealed that he was among the top ranks in Diablo 4‘s global leaderboard, and it looks like some skills did make it to Grinding Gear’s popular RPG.
If we trust Musk’s words, he plays so quickly that Path of Exile 2‘s anti-cheat software believes that it’s unnatural. It’s unclear if the developers will bring updates in the future to address the clear flaws in the game’s anti-cheat mechanics.
With that said, do you think Blizzard should’ve expanded upon the story side in Overwatch 2? Let us know in the comments below.
