The duo met each other for the first time on the set of their bomb superhero film, Green Lantern. Even though the film was a failure, it brought them together, leading to some sweet behind-the-scenes camaraderie.

For instance, Lively used her culinary skills to ensure she maintained the upper hand between the two by leveraging Reynolds’ weakness: cupcakes.

Being an actor is tough, but being an actor in a lead role in a superhero film is even tougher for one of the prerequisites of the job is having a camera-ready physique. Ryan Reynolds thus had to be in top shape while filming his critically blasted DC’s Green Lantern.

However, he faced an unexpected challenge while on the sets of the film, not from his grueling workouts or diet plans but from his co-star Blake Lively‘s cupcakes. Known for her love for cooking and baking, Lively turned to a bit of mischief to make sure her co-star did not steal the spotlight too much (via PEOPLE).

The Gossip Girl star then revealed how she spent her free time cooking while filming their superhero flick. Not only does she enjoy cooking everything and anything, but the actress remarked that she loves baked goods a bit too much.

Well, it isn’t Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively if they don’t cause a little bit of controversy here and there. After Lively’s It Ends with Us drama, the couple lately kicked off another controversy over their upbringing.

Recently, Reynolds in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter remarked that he and his wife grew up very working-class when talking about their parenting and how the couple has been trying to give their four children as normal a life as possible.

However, Reynolds’ comment that he and Blake had grown up working class stirred up immense social media criticism (via Instagram). While Lively’s parents are in the entertainment industry, Reynolds attended the Kitsilano Secondary School (via ET Canada) which fans stated no working-class person can afford.
