
‘Our Little Secret’, ‘The Merry Gentlemen’, ‘Red One’ and ‘Dear Santa’Netflix/Paramount+/Everett Collection
There are Christmas classics, and then there are the twists and plays on old tropes and plots that arrive to add to the holiday’s expanding catalog every year. Netflix has a new Christmas-themed rom com releasing every Wednesday in November ahead of the month of Christmas.
Other streamers launching new films to accompany the classics like Elf, Fred Claus and others include Paramount+, Hulu and, after a theatrical run of the action-packed Christmas comedy Red One, Prime Video.

Best Christmas Pageant Ever – Theaters – Nov. 8
Narrated by Lauren Graham, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, stars Judy Greer as Grace, who volunteers to organize the sacred yearly town Christmas Pageant. Unfortunately, the Herdmans are out to menace the Christmas peace and cause all kinds of havoc, but Judy’s approach to the six youngsters comes from a place of faith.

Meet Me Next Christmas – Netflix, Nov 6
Meet Me Next Christmas arrived Nov. 6 on Netflix. The film stars Christina Milian, Devale Ellis and Pentatonix, and Layla (Milian) has to find a ticket to the sold out Pentatonix Christmas Eve concert because a man she met the year previously (Kofi Siriboe) said that they should meet up at the concert a year from when they met, stranded in an airport. Teddy (Ellis) helps her on her quest for a ticket, presenting another possible dream man for Layla in the process.

Hot Frosty – Netflix, Nov. 13
Kathy (Lacey Chabert) lost her husband two years ago, and her house’s heating system breaks down, leading a kind friend to give her a beautiful red scarf. She innocently drapes it around the icy sculpture of a chiseled man one night, and somehow, this transforms him from snowman into real man. Dustin Milligan plays the snowman.

Red One – Theaters, Nov. 15, Streaming on Prime Video Dec. 12
Chris Evans assembles a new team of Avengers in Red One, including Dwayne Johnson, Lucy Liu and more as they gather at the North Pole to rescue Saint Nicholas of Myra (J.K. Simmons) from getting kidnapped. Kiernan Shipka plays a villain, and there’s also a humanoid polar bear as well as a Krampus character. Amazon MGM’s action-packed Christmas flick arrived in theaters on November 15, and it hits Prime Video for streaming December 12.

An Almost Christmas Story – Disney+, Nov. 15
David Lowery’s animated film, in which a young owl named Moon (voiced by Cary Christopher) gets trapped in a Christmas tree sought out for Rockefeller Plaza in New York City. Moon befriends Luna (Estella Madrigal), a little girl who gets lost, and they band together to get back to where they are supposed to be. Written by Jack Thorne, the film includes voices like Mamoudou Athie, Jim Gaffigan, Natasha Lyonne, John C. Reilly and more. It arrives on Disney+ Nov. 15.

The Merry Gentlemen – Netflix, Nov. 20
Chad Michael Murray and Britt Robertson star in The Merry Gentlemen, in which Robertson’s Ashley has the idea to create a male revue Christmas show to save her parents’ declining Rhythm Room and pay off a growing debt to their landlord (Maria Canals-Barrera). A wholesome Hallmark-esque love story ensues.

Our Little Secret – Netflix, Nov. 27
Lindsay Lohan and Ian Harding play exes who figure out their dating siblings web they both reconnect at their partners’ family Christmas party. Kristin Chenoweth plays the Erica potential mother in law to the brother and sister that each character is dating, and Avery (Lohan) is determined not to let her figure out her past with Logan (Harding). Tim Meadows, Jake Brennan, Katie Baker, Judy Reyes and more star.

Dear Santa – Paramount+, Nov. 25
Chances are most children have done it at least once in their lives — addressed a wish list letter to Satan instead of Santa. Well, when Liam does this, the letter summons the devil himself (Jack Black), and instead of presents this Christmas, Liam will be wishing that Satan won’t be able to corrupt him, though the villain pulls out all the stops to try. Dear Santa arrives on Paramount+ on November 25. Brianne Howey, Keegan-Michael Key, Post Malone and more appear in the Christmas comedy.

Nutcrackers – Hulu, Nov 29
Ben Stiller returns to the big screen in Nutcrackers (2024), which Hulu purchased out of the 2024 Toronto Film Festival. Stiller stars as businessman Mike, who has to leave his city bachelor life to take care of his four recently orphaned nephews. The mischievous quartet makes what he thought would be a quick visit much more of an extended stay into the holidays. Linda Cardellini, Edi Patterson, Tim Heidecker, Toby Huss and the four Janson brothers — Homer, Ulysses, Arlo and Atlas, also appear in the film.

Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story – Nov 30
Hallmark has a Kansas City Chiefs-centered romantic film coming out at the end of November. Hunter King, sister of Joey King, will portray Alana Higman, whose parents come from a long line of KC Chiefs fans. She meets Derrick (Tyler Hynes) through a “Fan of the Year” contest, but in addition to competing for the trophy, she also finds herself having feelings for Tyler. Donna Kelce, Jenna Bush Hager and more special guests will also appear in the film, which comes out November 30.

That Christmas – Netflix, Dec. 4
From the Richard Curtis, writer and producer known for Four Weddings and a Funeral (1994), Notting Hill (1999), Love Actually (2003), Bridget Jones’s Diary (2001), Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason (2004), About Time (2013) and Yesterday (2019), comes the animated That Christmas, which tells intertwined tales of family, friends, love, loneliness and Santa Claus making a big mistake. There are also several turkeys involved. The residents of Wellington-on-Sea when a record-setting snowstorm changess their plans along with those of Santa.

Carry On – Netflix, Dec.13
Taron Egerton stars as TSA agent Ethan Kopek, who gets mysteriously blackmailed to let an ominous package through security onto a Christmas Day flight by Jason Bateman’s traveler who threatens Egerton’s airport security worker. Jaume Collet-Serra directed the suspenseful, holiday-set film, which also stars Danielle Deadwyler, Sofia Carson and Theo Rossi.
