They normally keep their distance in public, but it seems Jodie Foster and girlfriend Alexandra Hedison are done with not expressing their love.

The pair, whom has been dating since last year, shared a romantic moment in the very unromantic setting of a carpark in Beverly Hills, California, on Tuesday.

When it first emerged in October the pair was dating, it was already very serious with those close to the couple saying they were already in love.

But perhaps the relationship has already moved into to even more serious territory as on Tuesday, Alexandra wore a small gold band on her wedding finger.

The couple looked very content as they strolled along having gone for a quick shopping trip at Barney’s New York in Beverly Hills.

Just two days before, Alexandra’s other famous former lady love, Ellen DeGeneres, was the toast of Hollywood after hosting the Academy Awards on Sunday night.

However, obviously on Tuesday 44-year-old Alexandra was not thinking about her ex, looking lovingly down at her Oscar winning girlfriend.

It has been just over a year since Jodie first came out as a lesbian publicly at the Golden Globes.

While not out publicly, Jodie had been in a 20 year relationship with female producer Cydney Bernard – they have two sons together, Charles, 15, and Kit, 13 – with the pair splitting in 2008.

Alexandra dated Ellen for over three years with their relationship ending in 2004, reportedly because the Oscar host met now wife actress Portia de Rossi.

Despite a National Enquirer report in December that Jodie had an affair with long-time love Cydney, it was clear on Tuesday that she and Alexandra were well and truly still on.

MailOnline reached out to Jodie’s representative but they have yet to confirm if the pair has tied the knot.
