Expelled from the Fighters Guild in Oblivion Remastered? Here’s How to Redeem Yourself and Reclaim Your Honor—Discover Why This Is Trending Now!

A fighter from Oblivion Remastered over an image of a bear and a minotaur Depending on what you do in Oblivion Remastered, you may wind up getting disciplined by one of the factions you belong to. This can happen with the Fighters Guild, sometimes by accident, resulting in you being expelled from the guild. While this initially sounds pretty bad, expulsion is reversible so long as you follow the right steps. That said, there is a limit to how many times you can get kicked out and then let back in, so it’s best to avoid getting expelled in the first place if you can help it.

There are a lot of benefits to joining the Fighters Guild in Oblivion Remastered, including unique quests, training by fellow members, and consistent income once you reach the top of the guild’s ranks. With all these perks potentially lost to you by being expelled, it’s important to know how to recover your standing with the guild if you accidentally get kicked out. Although the process is somewhat straightforward, it can be a bit of a hassle to find out where you need to get the required materials to be allowed back in.

What Can Cause Fighters Guild Expulsion?

Breaking One Of The Guild’s Rules Will Get You Kicked Out

Like most of Oblivion Remastered‘s guilds, when you join the Fighters Guild you will be told the code of conduct expected of you. In this case, that means no stealing from other guild members, no assaulting them, and no killing them. If you break one of these rules, you will be notified with a new quest that informs you that you’ve been expelled from the Fighters Guild.

It’s worth noting that these protections extend to horses owned by the Fighters Guild. If you are using a horse, you may want to dismount further from where you’re going to start combat just to be safe. I know I’ve misjudged a swing with my sword and hit an ally before, which could count as assaulting a member of your guild. Once you have been expelled, assuming you haven’t reached your limited number of times yet, you can reverse this decision by visiting the appropriate Fighters Guild leader.

How To Reverse Fighters Guild Expulsion

Speak To Vilena Donton To Receive A Task That Will Help You Regain Membership

Once you’ve been expelled from the Fighters Guild, you will need to head to the guild hall in Chorrol and speak to Vilena Donton about your misdeeds. Once you express your desire to be reinstated in the guild, Donton will assign you a task to deliver a specific item to her as punishment. If this is your first time being expelled, you will be tasked with retrieving 20 Bear Pelts. If it is your second time, you will be asked to find 20 Minotaur Horns instead. These quests can be tedious given how many creatures you have to find.

At first, Bear Pelts are going to seem more difficult to acquire, as bears spawn randomly throughout the world. However, there are enough Bear Pelts at merchants in the game for you to simply buy them all and return to Vilena. Some merchants also only have five pelts listed, but will immediately restock more when you buy from them. The merchants that carry Bear Pelts can be seen below:

When it comes to Minotaur Horns, these can be trickier, unless you have become the Grand Champion at the Arena. As the Grand Champion, you’re able to challenge minotaurs so long as you’re between levels 12 and 14, or above 18. Challenge as many as you can manage at once and then collect their horns after the fight. You will need to wait an in-game week between fights, but you can simply sleep seven times in the bedroll in the arena to manage this.

Remember, you’ll need to be at least level 12 for minotaurs to show up at all in the game, so try not to get kicked out of the Fighters Guild more than once before then. Otherwise, you will be waiting a lot longer for your chance to redeem yourself. If you just need one more horn to finish the quest, you can also grab one from The Main Ingredient in the Imperial City Market District.

How Many Times Can You Be Expelled?

You Can Be Expelled From The Fighters Guild Twice

The Chorrol Fighters Guild In Oblivion Remastered

You can only be expelled from the Fighters Guild twice, after which you will be permanently removed from the organization. If this happens, you’ll need to reload an earlier save from before you committed your third offense. The only exception is if you have climbed all the way up the ranks of the Fighters Guild and become the Guildmaster. At that point, you can do whatever you want, and you can’t be expelled from the guild.

Even if you aren’t a martial fighter who benefits from the Fighters Guilds’ trainers or merchants, I still think it’s in your best interest not to get on their permanent bad side. The guild offers a lot of fun quests, including one early contract, A Rat Problem, which is easily one of my favorite quests in the game. Oblivion Remastered has plenty of content in general, but its still worth not locking yourself out of anything by getting kicked out of a guild.
