The name probably does not ring a bell to many fans as he is a lesser-known antagonist compared to the likes of Vulture, Green Goblin, or Mysterio. But with the onset of a new project, it’s definitely time to explore other villains from the Spider-Man franchise.
Steven Yeun Is Being Eyed For Spider-Man 4 Villain
In an exclusive post from Giant Freakin Robot, the outlet claimed their trusted source learned that “Sony and Marvel are eyeing Steven Yeun for the role of Mister Negative in Spider-Man-4.” While the character has not yet appeared in movies, he has debuted on the small screen and in video game series.
Our source confirmed that both Marvel boss Kevin Feige and the team at Sony think that Steven Yeun of The Walking Dead fame would be a great fit for the role.
If Steven Yeun would accept the role, it would be a big shoe to fill for him. The actor has shockingly dropped out of Marvel’s Thunderbolts revealing the SAG-AFTRA strike had a huge impact on his decision. The actor mentioned that “time passing and things shifting” sort of pulled him out from wanting to dive into the project.

Still, he declared via Variety that he wanted to do a Marvel film. “I have some ideas, but I heard if you put it out there, you’ll never get it, so I’ll keep it close to my chest,” he quipped. When asked what Marvel movie he would like to tackle in the future, he refused to name any given how many people were disappointed with his departure.
Perhaps he would consider playing Mister Negative in Spider-Man 4. The problem is that fans are proclaiming another star to take on the role.

Speaking with Game Rant, actor Stephen Oyoung talked about lending his voice to Mister Negative in the console game Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.
I get called Mister Negative a lot more now! Spider-Man is one of the biggest franchises in the world, so to have my likeness used and later be recognized for it, I’m just so grateful that Bryan Intihar and Jacinda Chew made that choice. Everyone knows this game and this franchise.
Indeed, his resemblance with the character’s appearance has prompted fans to campaign for the actor to star as the villain in the upcoming fourth installment of Spider-Man. Check out their thoughts below:

Since the John Wick star has already experienced playing the character and also shares the same look, he might as well be considered for the role apart from Steven Yeun.
Marvel is still looking into assembling its cast members for Spider-Man 4, and it might be too early to predict who will play which character. The movie has no announced release date yet.
