It’s easy to forget, but it’s there
Red Dead Redemption 2 players have apparently been overlooking a crucial in-game feature, don’t worry though it’s easy to miss.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is one of the most breath-taking video game worlds ever created, and hats-off to Rockstar Games for devoting so many hours into crafting every fine detail.
What it has in quality it also has in quantity, as the map is enormous and can take you around a quarter of an hour to cross if you’re going full-speed on a horse.
By all means take in the sights and explore but never forget the game has a fast-travel mechanic, as some players completely missed it on their playthroughs…
“WHY DID NO ONE TELL ME I COULD FAST TRAVEL” one fan exclaimed in a Reddit thread, going on to say they’d been “traveling by horse ALL game because i didn’t know there was a fast travel feature.”
In fairness, it’s easy to overlook as the open-world is intoxicating. For magpie players like myself it’s almost too easy to get distracted on your way to missions, so you’d be forgiven if you never even thought about fast-travelling anywhere.
That said the majority of fans who did remember there was fast-travel hardly use the feature anyway, with one player saying “I’ve finished the game twice, once to 100%, and I very, very rarely use fast travel … if you do, you’re missing out on much of the immersion of the game.”
Others claimed to have not used it because “it’s a camp upgrade and I never really looked too hard at the ledger.”
Again, if you didn’t know there was fast-travel either don’t feel bad about it, you’re missing out on everything the game has to offer anyway by using it.
