Henry Cavill’s Warhammer 40k is still up in the air, but it could confirm its success by featuring a known name in the industry.
It’s a known fact that the Warhammer 40k franchise is one of the most popular science fiction franchises out there in the wild. Gamers have spent countless hours painting miniatures and devouring novels from the Horus Hersey series in particular. So, when Henry Cavill’s Warhammer 40k adaptation was revealed, gamers were filled with joy.
So far, we haven’t received a shred of information on what we can expect from the series. There are no bits and pieces on the adaptation’s potential storyline, characters, cast, and even release date. However, if the show is planning to break the norms and bring female Custodians, then there’s no better choice than Cavill’s ex-girlfriend, Gina Carano.

The introduction of female Custodes in the Warhammer 40k universe has always been a hotly debated topic. Many fans in the community believed that Games Workshop has always portrayed Custodes as males, which can be seen in the usage of terms such as “sons” and “brotherhood.”
In some way or another, it’s clear that Games Workshop has softly retconned this aspect of the franchise. The company should’ve made female Custodes a day-one introduction in the franchise and not brought them at a later point, which ruined the lore-building, according to some fans.
Regardless, it’s great to see that we finally have female Custodes in the Warhammer 40k universe. These brave warriors are undoubtedly going to make an appearance in Henry Cavill’s upcoming adaptation of the franchise, considering their popularity among fans. An actress like Gina Carano would be the perfect to portray them.
Carano is one of the only few actresses in the industry who has a martial arts background, and her appearance on screen is quite commanding. We know that Custodians are the most elite warriors in the universe and are known for their discipline, strength, and loyalty.
Carano, through her incredible acting skills, has already perfected such a role in The Mandalorian. Seriously, she’s a natural fit for a female Custodian, and Cavill would fumble a big time if he can’t convince her for the project.

The game’s series S/X version finally dropped in October 2023. The developer announced that at some point, the FPS would also arrive on PS5, and that day is finally here.
The PS5 port of Warhammer 40k: Darktide was released on December 3rd. The game’s base version will cost players $39.99. We also have the Imperial Edition, which will cost $59.99 and brings bonus weapon skins, outfits, a unique body tattoo, and a headgear piece.
Looking at Darktide‘s PS Store page, it’s clear that the game is a success. It’s time for Games Workshop to push out more projects in this universe and help it reach the same heights as other big names in the gaming industry.
