As per Ubisoft lead animator Dan G, Assassin’s Creed Shadows will be a huge deal for everyone at the studio.
The developer shared a tweet showcasing the meditation mini-game and noted that he intends to play the title despite being unable to go through Ubisoft’s catalogue very often. He later made a bold claim about the series.

The most interesting part about this statement is that it implies future entries will build on the foundations of the first Japanese-set Assassin’s Creed. In the past, similar statements were made about Assassin’s Creed Origins, and rightfully so.
This title was the first of the series’ ventures into the RPG genre, changing the direction of Assassin’s Creed for good until 2023’s Assassin’s Creed Mirage marked a return to classic gameplay.
