Hogwarts Legacy will soon celebrate its second anniversary, with the game having originally launched on 10 February, 2023.

Fair to say, many of us are hoping for proof that the rumoured director’s cut is real.

The supposed project was first revealed by Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier in June of last year, an often reliable source.

Schreier claimed that developers from Rocksteady had been drafted in to help with the director’s cut following the failure of Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League, but clearly the project is yet to manifest publicly.

Hogwarts Legacy fans were recently treated to the addition of PC modding support, adding tons of new quests, mounts, and in-game objects.

To state the obvious though, this update is only of benefit to PC users meaning those of us on console are a tad starved for content.

Will something land in time for the second anniversary?

That remains to be seen as while Avalanche Software is already getting the celebrations underway, it’s doing so with a sale.

That’s right, Hogwarts Legacy is now available at a major discount to mark the game’s second anniversary – something that’s not exactly going to prove to be of interest to longtime players.

If you’ve yet to dive into this latest iteration of the Wizarding World though, now could be the perfect time.

Digital versions of Hogwarts Legacy across PlayStation, Xbox, and Steam are available at a whopping 70% off.

For example, on PlayStation 5, you can nab the game for £19.49, while on Steam, it’ll set you back £14.99.

It’s worth checking your platform in your respective territory for exact pricing.

The Xbox discount is seemingly only available for two more days.

Steam is running its discount until 10 February, with PlayStation’s ending on 12 February so you better act quick if you want to make the most of this offer.

For those who have already played the title, let’s hope this isn’t the full extent of the anniversary celebrations.
