The latest 2D cutscene has solved the mystery regarding the deaths of DC superheroes including Batman in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice.

The best way to describe Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League would be to say that it has been a complete failure for both Warner Bros. and developer Rocksteady. It had virtually no goodwill when it first came out, received bad reviews, had very little support even though it was a live service game, and almost all of the updates after it came out were criticized.

Many ardent DC fans were also offended by it, believing that the game’s iconic superheroes weren’t given the proper farewells. Particularly after word of Batman’s death in the game leaked before it was even released, his passing managed to incite a great deal of anger. After the full game was made available, Harley Quinn popped Batman in the head, and that anger surfaced once more. However, that wasn’t the actual case.

Given that every deceased hero was revealed to have been a clone in the most recent Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League update, it appears that all of that rage was essentially in vain. That means Batman is also alive as well as the Arkhamverse series. Due to budgetary constraints, the game’s final “cutscene” was a 2D motion comic narrated by Harley Quinn, which reveals the real situation.

Harley Quinn reveals in this cutscene that the Justice League was actually keeping a close eye on things the entire time, letting Braniac clone them and mess with them, and then waiting for the right moment to kill Braniac once and for all. You’re not alone if that doesn’t make much sense to you.
Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League’s live-service story has concluded with a 2D cut scene that has Harley Quinn explain the ending (probably due to budget cuts)

The Justice League was left to clean up the Braniac multiverse mess after Harley Quinn and the team succeeded in popping off their bomb collars and embarked on a new adventure across the Elseworld. The conclusion is being widely ridiculed online, primarily because it is a retcon, which means that the game’s events were irrelevant.
It has also led to a great deal of confusion because, despite the fact that it is supposed to be a happy ending for all parties, Wonder Woman is not mentioned. Who knows what’s going on there? As you may remember, she was killed by the malevolent clone Superman, so she isn’t a clone herself. In any case, it’s a rather terrible conclusion to a game that has been a complete disaster for Warner Bros.

Rocksteady Studios has released Season 4 Episode 8, the last significant content update for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. In February 2024, this live-service title was released to mostly unfavorable reviews. Less than a year later, on January 14, Rocksteady announced that it would no longer be supporting the game.
Although Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League‘s concept appeared to be a surefire way to win over superhero fans, many people think the game’s unexpected live-service elements are what ultimately caused it to fail so quickly.
On December 9, 2024, Rocksteady revealed that Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League would conclude with Season 4 Episode 8, just ten months after it was first released. Rocksteady made the predictable announcement that all online features will remain accessible, allowing players to continue playing the game with their friends.
The final Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League content update has been officially released by Rocksteady following a few hours of server outage. Players of the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC can now officially dive into Season 4 Episode 8 since servers have been brought back online.
A new Mayhem mission, which represents the last conflict with Brainiac, a variety of potent new Notorious weapons, and an Infamy Set based on DC Super-Villain Libra are all included in the patch. A few significant bug fixes and gameplay adjustments are also included, including a reduction in the amount of experience points needed to reach Squad Levels and other improvements.
