The arrival of the Baby Wyvern in Crimson Desert has turned the community into a collective of aspiring beast tamers. As players across Pywel race to add this legendary companion to their roster, many are finding that the process is far more nuanced than a simple loot drop. If you are playing as Kliff, here is how to secure your dragon.

Step 1: Navigating to the Wyvern’s Cradle

Your journey begins at the “Three Brothers’ Cliff,” situated between the regions of Demenis and Hernand. Before attempting to enter the nest, it is highly recommended that you liberate the surrounding area. Speak with the Elder NPC nearby to trigger the necessary world-state conditions, as entry to the cave will be restricted until the area is cleared.

Step 2: Breaching the Barrier

Once you have cleared the area and the Elder has departed, locate the cave entrance. The path is sealed by a magical barrier that cannot be broken by traditional force. You must utilize the Focus Force Palm skill—aiming for the center of the yellow circle—to shatter the barrier. Inside, you will find a treasure chest (notable for high-tier loot, including a unique helmet) and, crucially, the Wyvern Egg. Retrieve the egg and store it in your inventory.

Step 3: The Incubation Process

Exit the cave and head towards the marked nesting site nearby. This is the most delicate stage of the process. Approach the center of the nest, access your inventory, and select “Use” on the egg. While holding the interaction trigger (L1/LB), carefully position the egg in the center of the nest.

Pro-Tip: Precision is vital here. If the egg is placed improperly or falls from the nest, the sequence will fail. Once successfully placed, you must remain in the vicinity for three to five real-time minutes to allow the incubation to complete.

Step 4: Hatching Your Companion

Once the timer expires, an interaction prompt will appear. Activate the prompt (X/Square) to hatch the egg. Your new Baby Wyvern will be immediately registered to your pet menu.

Why the Baby Wyvern Matters

While currently serving as a non-combat pet, the Baby Wyvern is an essential acquisition for any Kliff main. Pearl Abyss has confirmed that future updates will allow these pets to grow into full-sized, ridable mounts. By securing your companion now, you are effectively preparing your account for the next major evolution in the game’s transportation system.

The process requires patience, but for those willing to brave the heights of the Three Brothers’ Cliff, the reward is perhaps the most iconic companion in the game to date.
