The evidence is undeniable

Squid Game 2 was a phenomenal return to the Squid Game universe, and our poor protagonist Gi-hun ended up right back where he started in the middle of the games. However, some people noticed a really crazy plot hole in season two that would have meant Gi-hun died in the first episode of season one. It’s absolutely wild, but here’s the huge error that proves Gi-hun should have been dead and gone a long time ago.

The error is in the first ever Red Light, Green Light

In the first episode of Squid Game season one, titled Red Light, Green Light, Gi-hun is completely oblivious to the lethal consequences of moving when you shouldn’t. The first game takes everyone by surprise when they realise making one wrong move will cost them their lives. When the first player gets shot, Gi-hun starts shaking like a leaf. He may not be still walking, but he’s visibly shaking and moving around.

Firstly he’s on the floor, then he’s standing up and shaking, then he’s talking to Sang-woo (Player 218), then THIS insane move happens. There is no way they could have pulled this off, and it was even filmed with strings because the actor who played Ali was OBVIOUSLY not strong enough to lift up a whole man with one hand.

Squid Game 2 confirms Gi-hun should have been eliminated

In Squid Game 2, Player 188’s poor shaking hands alone are enough to get her killed. By this logic, Gi-hun moved WAY too much in season one and should have therefore been shot last season. Additionally, he’s not hiding behind anyone and would have been fully exposed to the motion sensor doll. Maybe they cracked down a lot more in the second run of Red Light, Green Light, but it still goes to show that a main character defies all game rules.
