Manuel Garcia-Rulfo recently opened up about the upcoming season in an interview with Variety’s Just for Variety podcast. The lead star of the show revealed that the fourth season is going to be an intensely emotional affair.
It’s the most emotional season — heavy emotion — because of how we found him, and a lot of things happen, which I cannot say, but they’re very emotional for me. I told the showrunners even reading them before we start shooting, it is the one that I’ve enjoyed the most. I’ve all enjoyed all of them, but this one is the one that I’ve enjoyed the most because it has the most heaviness.
As Mickey fights to prove his innocence, this season not only challenges his ethics but also threatens his soul. Testing how far Mickey is willing to go for justice, fans can expect a richer, darker, and more emotionally brutal season than anything the show has ever delivered before.

Manuel Garcia-Rulfo had no idea he would end up in Hollywood one day, let alone get a chance to star in the Jurassic franchise. Speaking on the Just for Variety podcast, the actor revealed that he was in the middle of shooting Lincoln Lawyer Season 3 when his agents revealed that he was a potential candidate for the franchise.
However, he was told not to get his hopes up by his agent, and he kept on working, thinking somebody else might have bagged the part. It wasn’t until he was sent the script and after joining that he started to realize.
It didn’t hit me until I was in Thailand and there was a huge dinosaur there. It’s like, ‘Oh my God, we’re doing ‘Jurassic.’ For me, it was such an inspiration, the first ‘Jurassic.’ … So it was huge. Now to be a part of it, you can imagine, too big for me.
Not only is his casting a significant milestone in his career, but it also marks the first time that a Latino actor has been cast in a leading role in the franchise. In Jurassic World Rebirth, he stars as Reuben Delgado, whose sailboat has been shipwrecked by dinosaurs, and left to fend for himself and his daughters until rescued by Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey, and Mahershala Ali’s characters.
