Following the arrival of Windows 11’s latest update, some of Ubisoft’s beloved games were seemingly affected, making them unplayable for millions.

We all dread the latest Windows update, as as well as changing features that should have been left well alone, it also usually comes with a series of issues that can annoy the calmest of people.

However, Windows 11 did recently launch Update 24H2 and alongside a series of changes, the update seemingly broke compatibility with a number of Ubisoft titles.

This included Assassin’s Creed Origins and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla which both became unplayable after the PC update.

That being said, Ubisoft has finally released a series of patches aimed at making the much-loved Assassin’s Creed titles able to run on Windows 11.

The patches are available via Steam and will begin downloading as soon as players launch the PC client.

Once downloaded, both Valhalla and Origins will be able to run on Windows 11’s Update 24H2.

It is unclear as to why the update affected certain Ubisoft titles but since the patch, there seems to be no further issues.

Not only that but some reports reveal that Star Wars: Outlaws and Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora could also be affected following the Windows update.

As of now, there is no patch to remedy this.

However, the patch for Origins and Valhalla comes at the perfect time as the next Assassin’s Creed instalment, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, is expected to finally launch on 20 March.

Following multiple delays, March is finally the month where we will journey to 16th century Japan and join Naoe and Yasuke and fight against the dreaded Templar.

Not only that but both Valhalla and Origins, despite being more modern instalments, were received positively upon launch and will make for the perfect RPG to get stuck into to kick off the year.
