NFL Fans Say It’s Time for a Change: Tom Brady’s Brutal Mistake Sparks Replacements!

FOX is paying Tom Brady a lot of money to be the No. 1 analyst for its NFL games each and every Sunday. Is the $300 million contract worth it, though?

Brady, 47, has been up and down in his first season as FOX’s lead color commentator. He hasn’t been outright bad, but the seven-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback hasn’t been an instant star in the way Tony Romo was when he first joined the CBS booth back in 2017. FOX was surely hoping that Brady would have that kind of impact when they signed him to a 10 year, $375 million contract.

There have been some tough moments so far this season, though. One happened on Sunday. Brady, who was calling the Vikings vs. Packers game, forgot which team Green Bay had lost to earlier this year (it was the team they were facing on Sunday – Minnesota).

“They’ve got four losses this year, Green Bay does,” Brady said on FOX during the game intro. “Two of them to the Lions, they’re a good team. The Eagles, they lost to them, they’re a good team. And they lost to the, uh…who’d they lose to the other one? Anyway…”

That was a tough moment for Brady, no doubt. And, to make things tougher for him, the guy he replaced, Greg Olsen, is an overwhelming fan favorite.

NFL fans are calling for Olsen to “replace” Brady in the No. 1 announcing booth after Sunday’s mistake.

“Fox having Brady call a Super Bowl over Greg Olsen should be considered a crime against humanity,” one fan wrote.

“It’s easy to kill Brady because he’s not remotely as good as Olsen. He has promise and deserves time to grow into the job – but it remains ridiculous he was handed the No. 1 role. That’s on Fox. He’s earned everything he’s gotten in football except this, and it shows,” one fan added.

“One thing Netflix got right was having TV’s best NFL analyst, Greg Olsen, as part of the broadcast. He’s so much better than Tom Brady,” one fan added.

“Greg Olsen deserves Tom Brady’s money,” one fan added.

FOX is surely going to give Brady time to grow into the role. It could be a bit painful for everyone involved, but so far, he seems to be handling things OK.

The spotlight is only going to get bigger from here, though, as FOX has the broadcast of Super Bowl 59.
