Marvel Rivals Season 2 has landed with a bang and you can get a free Flora Maiden Mantis skin in the next three weeks.

Season 2 of Marvel Rivals is here and NetEase Games is making sure that we are getting rewarded for still playing. To start it off, we have the new Cerebro Database Event which has a lot of free rewards from Chrono Tokens and Units to the Flora Maiden Mantis skin!

The new Mantis skin can be obtained for free if you progress through the new event. The skin gives Mantis a very plant-based makeover with a big green chest piece and green arms with different seed-like accents.

The Cerebro Database Event is Marvel Rivals’ seasonal challenge mode tied directly to Season 2. It launched on April 11 and will run through May 9, 2025. To get the new Flora Maiden Mantis skin for free, you’ll have to complete all four Cerebro Files in the event. These Files consist of nine missions arranged in a grid.

Each Cerebro File follows a bingo-style layout, where you complete challenges to form a line. Completing a line will reward you with in-game items like Chrono Tokens, sprays, or gallery cards. Once you finish three lines in a single file, the remaining challenges are auto-completed.

As of April 14, only the Emma Frost file is available, but more are on the way. The Wolverine file will unlock on April 15, followed by the Black Panther file on April 19, and finally, the Namor file on April 23. That means you have almost a month to complete the event and get the skin before the May 9 deadline.

Don’t wait until all four files are unlocked to start playing. Since each file can take a few sessions to complete, spacing out your progress helps avoid the last-minute grind. Aside from that, it’s mostly smooth sailing since many of the missions can be completed passively while playing your regular matches.

For example, the Emma Frost file has challenges that ask you to do things like defeat 60 enemies, play five matches, secure 40 assists, and more. There are also passive or easier challenges such as simply viewing the event page or winning one match on the Hellfire Gala map.

The rewards for the Emma Frost file currently include 100 Chrono Tokens for one line, an exclusive Emma Frost spray for two lines, and the Impending Doom Gallery Card plus 75 Units for three lines. We can expect a similar amount for the upcoming cards so all in all, it’s a lot of free stuff
