Underneath the neon-soaked streets, the towering skyscrapers, and the ads promising a bright future, Night City is home to all manner of dark secrets, including one that fans have only just stumbled across despite having 700+ hours in the game.

The world of Cyberpunk 2077 is home to dark secrets, conspiracies and power struggles that are all neatly tucked away underneath the bustling metropolis of Night City.

However, if you look close enough, you will start to see the cracks in the facade and that includes this nightmare-fuelled area that one fan recently stumbled across whilst exploring off the beaten track.

Shared on r/cyberpunkgame by user UnworthyYellow, the post read: “I have 700+ hours and have never seen this before!”

The “this” refers to an area in the eastern Badlands (can be found by a tiny red dot on the map) which, upon first glance, looks like the scene of a horrific mass murder.

However, it isn’t long before you discover that this is just a bunch of mannequins that have been dumped and left to the elements.

But what does this mean?

Apparently, the Cyberpunk 2077 lore suggests that this was once the scene of a film shoot which, due to lack of funding, was scrapped with the creators not even having the funds to clean up after them.

This was cleared up by the original poster.

“They are mannequins!” they shared.

“There was a shard that said this was the set of a movie called Hell Lake 3. Apparently, the studio lost a major sponsor and had to stop production.”

For user BigTastyCJ, this is just another example of CD Projekt RED’s storytelling.

“I came across this completely by accident, then I looked into it,” they shared.

“The attention to detail in this game never fails to amaze me.”

With CDPR developers claiming that players are still nowhere near close to finding all of Cyberpunk 2077’s secrets, we wonder what else will be discovered in upcoming years.
