Hugh Jackman’s return as Wolverine in Deadpool & Wolverine has excited Marvel fans, and it could be just the beginning of his comeback. Reports suggest Jackman is in talks with Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige for a major role in Avengers: Secret Wars.

Fans are eager to see how Wolverine fits into the Multiverse saga and beyond. According to insider Daniel Richtman’s newsletter, Wolverine may continue in the MCU after Secret Wars, likely teaming up with Deadpool for more adventures.

Recently, Ryan Reynolds shared his thoughts on a possible Deadpool & Wolverine sequel, saying that Wolverine works best as a supporting character, so a sequel may not be in the works right now.

There have also been rumors suggesting that Wolverine won’t be part of the MCU’s new X-Men team, mainly because Hugh Jackman will continue playing the role after Secret Wars.

Jackman has been Wolverine for 24 years, and as Reynolds joked, Disney might keep him playing the character until he’s 90. Fans probably wouldn’t mind if Jackman stays in the role even past his 90th birthday.

There’s still not much information about their future in the MCU, but with Deadpool & Wolverine earning over $1B, it’s safe to say we’ll see them together again.
