Far Cry fans are delighted with the potential “perfect” setting of the seventh numbered entry in the Ubisoft series.

Alongside the Assassin’s Creed series, Far Cry is one of the most popular properties owned by Ubisoft and despite its formula becoming quite stale in recent years, it’s still a big occasion when a new game is released, especially when it comes to its next charismatic villain.

The last game to be released in the series is Far Cry 6 in 2021 on PC, PlayStation and Xbox. Far Cry 7 is yet to be announced by Ubisoft, making it the longest spell we’ve gone without a new entry since the franchise’s inception in 2004.

As such, fans are curious as to what awaits the series in the hope that Far Cry 7 will be officially announced in the coming months.

I like to think that considering it’s been nearly four years since Far Cry 6, Ubisoft might be cooking up something exciting for the series. Only time will tell.

We’re sure that the announcement of Far Cry 7 is just around the corner and with a bit of luck, Ubisoft might reveal it during Summer Game Fest season 2025 in June. Our fingers will be crossed.
