While not much has been said about these remasters since then, a reliable insider has finally broken the silence. It is now being said that an official announcement regarding these games is coming sometime next month.
Why it matters: Despite the popularity of the Norse God of War saga, Kratos’ earlier adventures remain limited to streaming on modern consoles. This has created a demand for remasters to make these games available to a wider audience.

On his BSKY profile, Jeff Grubb quoted a post highlighting artwork celebrating God of War’s 20th anniversary. For context, the original PS2 title debuted on March 22, 2005, leaving exactly one month until the series turns 20.
