The Baltimore Ravens secured a ticket to the playoffs after blasting the Pittsburgh Steelers, 34-17, on Saturday.
The win had extra significance as the Ravens tied the Steelers atop the AFC North with identical 10-5 records in their neck-and-neck race for the division title.
Star quarterback Lamar Jackson once again came up huge for Baltimore, throwing for 207 yards and three touchdowns. He also set a team record with his 37th touchdown pass of the season.
The 27-year-old Jackson was interviewed by Fox Sports analyst Tom Brady after the game, with the Ravens signal-caller expressing optimism about the team’s chances heading into the playoffs.
“The season is just getting started, like I said last week,” said the two-time MVP. “There’s still room for improvement though.
“Just competing together at practice, you know, treating it like a game. Just keeping our body fresh, with everybody starting there, starting with our walk-throughs, meetings, stuff like that, and they transition to the game, to the playing field.”
