Calling all PC players, the fun doesn’t have to end in Red Dead Redemption 2 when the credits roll.

Let’s face it, even if a new instalment in the franchise is something that Rockstar Games eventually wants to work on, it’s not going to land anytime soon.

The reason why is pretty obvious. The company’s focus solely lies with the upcoming Grand Theft Auto VI right now.

GTA VI is targeting a fall release, so it should land between September and November of this year – that’s if it’s not subject to any delays.

Even if it does land on time, after that point, Rockstar is going to be dedicated to providing post-launch support as well as working on the inevitable PC port and online counterpart.

When Rockstar is eventually ready to move on to a new project, there’s no saying whether the studio will return to Red Dead or opt to explore a new IP.

Thankfully though, those on PC can always extend the fun via the wonderful world of mods – and ‘Bounties Expansion – Replayable Bounties’ does what it says on the proverbial tin, adding 39 new bounties to the game.

‘Bounties Expansion – Replayable Bounties’ has been created by NexusMods user Shtivi and as I said, adds 39 new bounties in total.

According to the creator, most of these “are based off of the bounty system of RDR1”, with some of the bounties having “unique missions”.

What’s great about this particular bounty mod is that the bounties are replayable.

You simply need to wait around six in-game hours and then a new wanted poster will spawn, allowing you to set off on the mission once again.

Yes, this doesn’t quite hit the same as if Rockstar was to drop a real expansion or update of some kind, but I think we all need to accept that at this point in time, that’s never going to happen.

For those of us on console, I’m afraid I cannot offer any consolation for our lack of ability to get involved in the modding world.

All I can remind you is that Red Dead Redemption 2 offers up a rich open world packed with secrets, so who knows? Maybe you’ll stumble across something new to you the next time around.
