We are just a few days into the new year and the rumours surrounding what we can expect from Grand Theft Auto VI are already in full swing.
Let’s face it, with Rockstar remaining mostly tight-lipped about the next instalment in the Grand Theft Auto series, it has been down to rumours and inside information to keep the hype building.
Earlier this week, one supposed play-tester claimed that Grand Theft Auto VI will feature the most detailed world we have ever seen in gaming as well as the promise of next-gen graphics.
Now that very same leaker has some more information for us with news about how interactive our modern-day Vice City will actually be.
Up until now, Grand Theft Auto titles, despite being open-world, have left a lot to the imagination when it comes to the amount of buildings the player can enter.
However, that all seems to be changing with the arrival of GTA VI as the leaker claims that we will be able to enter around 40% of the buildings around the map.
Not only that but, if we choose to, some of the smaller buildings will be able to be destroyed with next-gen destruction physics.
This means that players will sometimes be rewarded for trying to enter nearby skyscrapers, banks, hotels as some buildings may be fully fleshed out.
On the other hand, petrol stations, shops and pawn shops for example will almost always be enterable and can definitely be destroyed if your character is on a bit of a rampage.
Next-gen physics will allow the player to deal some real damage to certain buildings, even going as far as to cause crumbling walls and even setting fire to them with the roof collapsing as a result.
Once again, it seems as though Rockstar is leaning heavily into realism this time around so it remains to be seen just how much damage we will be able to cause when GTA VI releases in Fall 2025.
