One of the Assassin’s Creed titles that always seems to be forgotten is Assassin’s Creed III.

Described as having “off pacing”, as well as unclear motives guiding Connor, are just some of the reasons the Ubisoft title has been criticised.

Believe it or not, though, there are plenty of Assassin’s Creed fans out there who think Connor deserves more recognition.

In this stunning remake, we see him getting just that.

The YouTube channel Remastered Gaming shared a video of Assassin’s Creed III remade in Unreal Engine 5.

To be clear, this isn’t a remake you can play – this is a showcase of what could be if Ubisoft decided to revisit the game.

Needless to say, it’s gone down a treat with fans.

“Damn I wish Ubisoft waited to remaster AC3, we could have had true high def Connor… that’s my man right there!” commented @mrsckenway.

“Beautiful,” remarked @BreedofDMC6669, before adding that Connor was finally getting “the recognition, love, & respect” he deserves after being ignored for so long.

The likelihood of this becoming a playable version of the game is low, we’re sad to say.

Not only does Ubisoft have plenty of other AC irons in the fire, so to speak, but it’s also dealing with backlash due to announcing the third delay for AC Shadows.

Disappointing though that is, at least we can be happy in knowing that other gamers out there recognise the beauty of Connor’s journey.

What is more, they long to see it officially remade too.

Not all is well on the AC remake front, as a recent Black Flag next-gen teaser has divided the fandom.

Just when everyone finds common ground, something pops up to create tension.

Connor may never get the remake he deserves, but we have this gorgeous showcase to admire and daydream about.

It’s not much, but it’s something.
