“Removing The Bunnies May Be A Dealbreaker”: Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2’s Hardcore Mode Is Absolutely Wrecking Players

A painting of Henry with some skeletons from Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. If you thought the opening few hours of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 were tough, then Hardcore Mode is not for you. The mode is not just more difficult, but it also strips away the entire UI, leaving Henry to brave medieval bohemia all by himself. No maps, no combat indicator, and a bunch of new negative perks means you’re truly going to have your pizzle yanked.

With the mode finally available, players have flocked back to try their hand at a harder medieval life. Perhaps they thought that it would be easier since they’ve played the game before, but it seems that players are finding Hardcore Mode a lot tougher than they thought. When they’re not getting lost in the wilds or outflanked by enemies, they’re suffering from bad backs, But, worst of all, everyone misses the bunnies.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Players Find Hardcore Mode A Lot Harder Than Expected

Over on the Kingdom Come subreddit, players have been sharing hilarious instances of how Hardcore mode is a bit too hardcore. For instance, the Somnambulant negative perk makes you awaken in a completely different spot, causing one player to share a video of their Henry waking up in the middle of a forest after sleeping on a bed.

“My feet are bleeding, I’m still hungry, wasn’t sure if I’m wanted yet, almost attacked by wolves and bandits because of this video, and I had to sleep in an owned bed because I was so tired.” Another player added. “Yea the guy that told me to choose all the bad perks because otherwise it’s too easy, yanked my pizzle for sure.”

Since the game gives you an achievement for finishing the game with all the negative perks active, a lot of players thought that it would be a fun way to replay the game, and get a trophy too. However, they drastically underestimated how useful the UI is. “The one that surprised me was the bunnies not being there. In Apollonia at the start, I got caught by the first guy because I didn’t realize he “saw” me until he charged at me,” said another player.

It seems the Warhorse wasn’t kidding when it made the Hardcore Mode. Not everyone is cut out for the medieval peasant life, unfortunately.
