STOP THE GRIND: THE “SCHOLAR HEIST” IS THE BROKEN ABYSS ARTIFACT FARM YOU NEED! 🕵️‍♂️💎
Are you tired of dying to endgame bosses just to get a single skill upgrade? We just found a “legal” exploit at the Scholar Stone Institute that lets you farm UNLIMITED Abyss Artifacts with ZERO combat. 🚀
The secret? It starts with a simple cup of Honey Tea. 🍵 Once you trigger the Abyssal Energy Research quest, the game spawns a group of Scholars who are basically walking treasure chests. Forget the Hwando—just put on a mask, “bump” into these faculty members, and pickpocket your way to Godhood! 🎒⚡
It’s a 1-in-3 drop rate, and if you fail, just reset at the nearest Abyss Nexus and do it again. You can max out every single skill in the game in one afternoon. Pearl Abyss is definitely going to patch this “Academic Larceny” soon, so get in there while their pockets are still full! 🛡️🏆
Ready to become the richest “criminal” in Pywel? Check out the step-by-step heist guide below! 👇

While many “Greymanes” are risking their lives fighting skyscraper-sized beasts for scraps of power, a new breed of opportunistic players has found a much quieter—and more lucrative—path to godhood. The target? The unsuspecting faculty of the Scholar Stone Institute.
A new “pickpocket meta” is currently sweeping the Crimson Desert community, allowing players to amass an unlimited supply of Abyss Artifacts without ever drawing their Hwando blades.
The Honey Tea Heist The exploit begins with a deceptively simple request. Players must first navigate the Scholar Stone Institute questline, which involves providing an NPC with a cup of Honey Tea and completing a series of “Abyssal Research” tasks.
Once the final stage, Abyssal Energy Research, is triggered, the game spawns a specific group of scholars intended for quest interaction. However, players have discovered that these scholars possess the highest pickpocket drop rate for Abyss Artifacts currently identified in the game.
Mastering the “Bump and Grab” The method is simple but requires a bit of criminal finesse. Players are advised to don a mask to minimize bounty risks. By physically “bumping” into the scholars and executing a pickpocket command, players have roughly a one-in-three chance of securing a high-tier artifact.
“If you don’t get it on the first try, you might just get an apple or some cloth,” explains veteran thief Jay Dunna. “But the beauty is in the refresh. If the guards get suspicious, just run out of the red zone, hit the nearest Abyss Nexus, and the scholars reset with fresh pockets.”
Day vs. Night: The Stealth Advantage While the farm is effective during the day, investigators have found that attempting the heist at night significantly increases the success rate. For those who prefer a change of scenery, scholars can also be found wandering the main grounds of Scholar Stone outside of the quest, though the “Quest Spawns” remain the most efficient target for rapid-fire farming.
A Broken Economy? With 5 million copies sold, the flood of “free” artifacts is already impacting the game’s internal power balance. Players are using this method to max out their skill trees in a fraction of the intended time.
Pearl Abyss has updated their “Known Issues” log frequently since launch, but as of today, the “Scholar Heist” remains active. Many in the community are urging others to “farm while it lasts” before an inevitable hotfix addresses the scholars’ suspiciously deep pockets.
Bonus: The Gold Bar Secret As if the artifacts weren’t enough, rumors are also circulating about a secondary farm just south of Deinis, where gold bars can be stolen with similar ease. It seems that in the world of Pywel, sometimes the pen—or the pickpocket—really is mightier than the sword.
