When Bloodborne Meets Dark Souls – An Epic New 2026 RPG You Won’t Want to Miss!

It’s been five years since the original Mortal Shell landed and Cold Symmetry is back with a long-awaited sequel.

Let me tell you, it looks wild.

If you’re a FromSoftware fan, I have a feeling that you’re going to like this one.

The game’s new trailer is what I’d imagine you might end up with if Bloodborne, Elden Ring, and Dark Souls all had one cursed baby.

Naturally, as the trailer has only just dropped, details are a tad thin on the ground.

We know that Mortal Souls II is targeting a 2026 launch – and it’s set to land on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

This sequel will see players face off against some grisly new bosses using a wide array of weapons, from longswords to what appears to be a boltgun of some variety.

Technically, the original Mortal Shell falls into the action RPG category but I have to say, Mortal Shell II is looking like a soulslike through and through.

It’ll be interesting to see what it’s categorised as by devs when more info drops.

Like major 2025 hit Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Mortal Shell II is coming from another small indie dev team.

It’s great to see these smaller teams really thriving and putting out ambitious games into the world.

The consensus online already seems to be that Mortal Shell II is looking better than its predecessor.

Let’s hope that proves to be true when the title launches.
