Hogwarts Legacy has a multiplayer option if you know where to look, as a mod was created to bring 10 players together to cause chaos in the wizarding world.
If you’ve always wanted to get together with friends in Hogwarts Legacy, then you’d be disappointed that the development team didn’t include an option.
However, leave it to mod communities and it will come together.
HogWarp is a multiplayer mod that brings together up to 10 players by establishing a server instance of the game.
Once the server is set up, you can then enter with your chosen character and play among friends.
Now, it’s worth noting that HogWarp is very bare bones. In fact, it simply gives you a place to hang out with friends.
Imagine a place where you can gather with mates online, but it’s all Harry Potter themed.
A short video showing off the mod on Twitter does make for an entertaining watch, though it might leave you wanting more.

Of course, this is a proof of concept to show that it’s certainly possible to have more than one player lurking around Hogwarts.
In order for the game to be played in co-op, a mod team would have to remake the game from the ground up.
It’s still a nice idea, and one that could show how many players actually want a full-fledged co-op or multiplayer experience.
As an official sequel is in the works currently, we could end up with this avenue being explored further.
After all, Harry Potter has his mates joining him on adventures, so it would be amazing to keep your friends close too.
For now, we’ll treat this mod as a unique chat room to hang out in while we cross our fingers and hope that the sequel features some form of multiplayer.
