The Dark Souls fanbase is one of the most dedicated of all time and any news is good news when it comes to the much-loved RPG series.

Consisting of three entries, the Dark Souls series has become a much-loved corner of gaming since its first title, Dark Souls, released back in 2011.

Since then, it has welcomed two more major instalments with multiple other franchises having been inspired by the FromSoftware series.

However, one thing that fans have been calling out for is a better multiplayer system as despite Dark Souls featuring this option, it has quite a few limitations.

Although it doesn’t seem as though these will be officially addressed any time soon, one creator has saved the day by uploading the ‘Seamless Co-op’ mod for Dark Souls III.

Created by Yui over on NexusMods, ‘Seamless Co-op’ introduces a complete overhaul to the co-operative aspect of Dark Soul III’s multiplayer.

“Simply put, the mod allows you to play with friends throughout the entirety of the game with no restrictions,” the description reads.

“With this, it’s theoretically possible to play the game from the tutorial up to the final boss completely in one co-op session.”

With this mod installed, players will be able to return to sessions after death and defeating enemy bosses and clearing areas will no longer terminate the session either.

All fog barriers that add restrictions to the multiplayer zone are now gone and NPC dialogue will be synchronised for players.

You will also be able to play in groups of five players and game progression events completed in online play will also progress the game in your own world.

As you can imagine, this free mod has been a saviour for many Dark Souls fans with many calling out for the same creator to work on other entries in the series.
