“For the past three months, it’s been drama, it’s been arguing, it’s been craziness.”
The saga surrounding Cardi B’s marriage to Offset continues.

In case you forgot: At the top of August, Cardi confirmed that she was filing for divorce from Offset and that she was pregnant with their third child. Yes, she did so at the same time. That’s Cardi for you.

Shortly after, reports emerged that the latest split (they’ve been very publicly on-and-off for years since first getting together back in 2016) was “a long time coming” — and that it wasn’t tied to rumors of cheating on Offset’s part.

So, Cardi recently hopped on X Live (yes, that’s still a thing) and gave an update on where she currently stands with Offset — and you know what? It sounds like things are actually pretty OK, given the circumstances.

Cardi revealed that the estranged couple have “been on good terms lately.” “We’ve been peaceful for over a week, so we like the energy,” she said, before clarifying that they aren’t “beefin’,” but that they’re also “not really speaking.”

Cardi elaborated that she and Offset have gotten “to a point” where they’ve achieved “really healthy coparenting.” “We’ve been really happy. I feel like this week has been the less drama week,” she said.

“‘Cause for the past three months, it’s been drama, it’s been arguing, it’s been craziness. But this week, it’s been like, eight days that there’s no drama, there’s no bullshit. It’s getting to the point where everybody’s moving on very healthy.”

Cardi also alluded to her and Offset seeing other people amidst their split — gesturing toward the possibility that, even though things are better when it comes to their personal interactions with each other, the couple may finally be moving on from one another.

“You heard I’m with a n***a, don’t bother me,” Cardi said while discussing their “I don’t bother you, you don’t bother me” perspective. “I hear you with a bitch, I don’t bother you. So we’ve been on good terms.”

OK! Cardi is one of the most honest celebs we’ve got, so if there are any future updates on their relationship status, you know we’re likely to hear it straight from her.
In the meantime: Have you ever dealt with a breakup where you and your ex stayed — or, at least, tried to stay — on good terms? Tell us about it in the comments.
