It’s Christmas day, and the Kansas City Chiefs are kicking off Week 17 by taking on the Pittsburgh Steelers. Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce figure to play a big role in this game, but before things kicked off, the superstar quarterback roasted his favorite pass catcher.
While the Chiefs have only lost one game this season, Mahomes and Kelce haven’t exactly been putting together their best seasons. Still, they are one of the most lethal offensive duos in the league, and when they have had to be at their best for Kansas City this year, they have been.
Mahomes and Kelce have to be on the same page when they are on the field in order to ensure their success, but that doesn’t mean they can’t trade some playful banter with each other when they aren’t on the field. That was clear when Mahomes hilariously revealed he might have to get Kelce some acting lessons for Christmas.
“Trav’s got everything,” Mahomes said when asked what he’d be getting Kelce for Christmas. “Maybe some acting lessons.”
Kelce certainly does have a lot going for him, with one thing being a budding acting career. The Chiefs star tight end made his acting debut in FX television series “Grotesquerie” earlier in 2024, and he’s also set to have a role in Adam Sandler’s upcoming “Happy Gilmore 2” film.
For the most part, Kelce’s acting debut was well-received, but Mahomes, ever the perfectionist, believes there’s room for improvement. It may be difficult to figure out what Kelce to get since he already has so much, so Mahomes had to think outside the box and come up with a creative idea.

Truthfully, the thing that both of these guys likely want on Christmas is a win. Mahomes and Kelce both need to work together in order to make that happen, but that would surely be better than just about every other possible gift, since beating the Steelers would wrap up the No. 1 seed in the AFC for them.
The good news is that Kansas City took an early lead over Pittsburgh, and if they can keep playing at a high level, they should be able to pick up their 15th victory of the season.
