Ghost of Yotei has become one of the most anticipated games of 2025. In a year where PlayStation first-party games are already scarce, Ghost of Yotei has some high expectations to look forward to.
This is especially true considering how well players received the first title in the series. The game’s creator talked about how they’ll continue to push in every department with the sequel and would innovate rather than chase trends.

Moreover, the two creators also talked about how they’d want to progress further on their previous work and still progress rather than chasing trends, which is what most studios do nowadays.

Brian also mentioned that at the time they made Ghost of Tsushima, there weren’t many games set during that era in Japan. The game’s success inclined other studios to follow the same path and chase the ‘success bandwagon’, just the thing they don’t want to do.
