Actor Eddie Redmayne picked up a gun instead of a magic wand. He turned into an assassin in “Day of the Jackal” and showed another face.

The overseas series ‘Day of the Jackal’, which can be seen in Wave, is a thriller based on a 1971 novel of the same name published by British author Frederick Forsyth.

The main character Jackal is an unrivalled assassin. He hits a long-distance target with a gun and leaves the scene leisurely with excellent makeup.

Bianca (Lashana Lynch), a British secret intelligence agent, starts relentlessly chasing the veiled jackal. In addition, his wife (Ursula Corbero), who does not know what Jackal is, is involved in an exciting development.

Needless to say, the charm of this work. It is the acting of Eddie Redmayne, who turned into a psychopathic assassin.

He showed off his daft charm as a news scammander in the spinoff “The Mysterious Animal Dictionary” of the movie “Harry Potter,” and shows a whole new face in “Day of the Jackal.”

Eddie Redmayne, who puts down his magic wand, naturally and charmingly portrays Jackal’s cold face and eyes pouring bullets at him without hesitation for his purposes. I can’t take my eyes off.

Even though it is natural to support Bianca chasing Jackal, Eddie Redmayne’s power is great that he wants Jackal to run away. Therefore, it is regrettable that Bianca’s charm at the opposite point of Jackal does not come very close.

Nevertheless, just being able to see Eddie Redmayne’s cool face and another charm is enough reason to watch “Day of the Jackal.”

The 10-episode work received favorable reviews when it was released locally in November last year. Eddie Redmayne, who showed an intense presence as the cold-blooded Jackal, was also nominated for best actor at the 82nd Golden Globe Awards and the 30th Critics’ Choice Awards.

In the first week after the release of Wave on December 24 last year, it received a hot response by ranking first in the main data indicators, new paid subscription driving content, viewing time, and number of viewers. Among the overseas series works first released by Wave, they showed higher performance compared to the same period with “Euphoria,” “Mary & George,” and “Subscribe to the Murder.”
