Nightreign is a title that some faithful FromSoftware players are still unsure about, waiting to see whether the developer’s attempt to put a survival twist on Elden Ring will pay off. It’s clear that Elden Ring Nightreign will employ several new ideas for the Soulsborne formula and that not all of them are necessarily meant to be mainstay features. However, FromSoftware’s willingness to take risks in so many areas of this project could prove useful for figuring out how to make aspects that players have dismissed in other games significantly more engaging.
A new class named Ironeye has officially been revealed for Elden Ring Nightreign. Throughout the video, Ironeye is shown taking on various mobs and bosses, making quick work of its foes. With the addition of this class alongside the Nightreign caster known as Recluse, Ironeye could draw even more interest in ranged play than is usual for FromSoftware’s catalog.
Ironeye Revealed for Elden Ring Nightreign
The post covering Ironeye notes swiftness as a core quality, partially discussing the nature of this character’s arrows but also seemingly referencing the character in general. Dexterity seems to be a key focus, as Ironeye is seen dodging and wall jumping away from attacks, finding ways to counterattack while keeping a safe distance. Ironeye is shown using flaming arrows, dashing and striking with an arrow in one hand and a bow in the other, and finally, they’re shown using a bow as a stagger/riposte attack, an action that fans have compared to Legolas from The Lord of The Rings.
