A brand new open-world survival RPG that looks like a mix between Fallout and Horizon Zero Dawn (with some Valheim influences thrown in for extra measure) is set to drop in 2025, and fans of classic 90s action films may want to keep an eye on this one.
Terminator: Survivors is an upcoming co-op, survival-focused game from developers Nacon Studio Milan and publisher Nacon thatâs set to launch on Steam sometime in 2025.
As you might have guessed from the title, Terminator: Survivors is based in the same universe as the Terminator franchise – and it seems the game is catering to its fanbase with the gameâs story.
The description on Steam promises that youâll be able to meet “iconic characters of the franchise” throughout the course of your playthrough, and it also teases that youâll be able to learn about exactly âwhat happened on Judgment Day in an unexplored storylineâ.
As far as gameplay goes, survival is the aim of the game here. In Terminator: Survivors, âscouring the surrounding land for materials, information, other survivors and key resourcesâ is paramount if you want to succeed and build a base strong enough to repel the Terminator threat.
Thankfully, the game offers co-op with up to four players – and it sounds like youâre going to need the back up, based on how brutal the survival elements sound.
There isnât an exact release date for this one yet, beyond sometime in 2025, but the devs have stated that itâs coming to Steam before any other platform.
PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S ports are in the works however, but wonât release until the game is out in early access on PC.
Hereâs hoping this one is a bit of a step above the last Terminator game, Terminator: Resistance, that we received back in 2019.
