Orin the Red in the chosen of Bhaal in Baldur’s Gate 3, having taken the title from the Dark Urge after killing them (unsuccessfully, if you play as them). She’s also the daughter of Sarevok, the villain from the first game. She is also his granddaughter, but more on that in a bit.

The point being, Orin is a little messed up, bless her. Part of her troubled backstory is that her mother/sister, Helena, tried to kill her, forcing Orin to defend herself. She did, killing Helena and keeping her dead body in her room. You can actually use Speak with Dead on Helena when you’re in the Bhaal Temple, giving you a taste of just how messed up that family is.

However, this is not the only time you’ll see Helena’s body in the game. Turns out, Orin actually depicts Helena’s dead body on the crown she wears everywhere. This was spotted by Reddit user HoneyBunnyDoesArt, showing that Orin was rubbing the kill in our face the entire time.

If you zoom in on the crown, you can see that the figure is posed exactly like how Helena is in Orin’s room. So, Orin is certainly proud of her kill, and isn’t too torn up about her dear old mother/sister.

The best part of this discovery is seeing everyone confused in the replies, so let me give you a rundown of the family tree – or rather, the family wreath. Sarevok is a bhaalspawn, a child of Bhaal. He had a daughter after the events of Baldur’s Gate 2, giving us Helena. He then had an incestuous relationship with Helena, who gave birth to Orin. With that in mind, it’s no wonder that Orin is the way that she is. If anything, I’d argue that she is remarkably well adjusted.
