All Characters You Can Romance in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Romancing in AC Shadows is more than just adding a little extra adventure to your journey, it’s about engaging with various characters in the game through side quests.
Here’s a breakdown of the characters you can romance, and how to trigger those heart-pounding moments.
1. Gennojo (Naoe)
First players need to complete the “Lost Honor” main mission, which unlocks a side quest “Sake and Swords”, followed by “Honor Among Thieves” and then “Stolen Hearts.”
This’ll lead to the rescue of Gennojo, now players can finally trigger the romance by selecting the “I’d like to embrace you.” dialogue option, leading to a short intimate moment.
2. Katsuhime (Naoe)

After meeting Katsuhime in the main story, start the “Letter from Katsuhime” side quest. Completing several quests in her questline will lead to the “The Jounin Pillow Book” quest. This is where players can have the chance to select the “Let’s find out” dialogue and start the romance.
3. Koshiro (Naoe)
To unlock Koshiro’s romance options, players need to complete Genzaburo’s Soldiers” and “The Leaf Turns” side quests. After retrieving her toolbox, she takes Naoe to Lover’s Lake, where you can trigger the romance by selecting the “Like me” option.
4. Hori Hidemasa (Yasuke)
To trigger the romance, players need to start the “The Betrayers” side quest. This quest can be started after meeting Hori in the Otsu area. After dealing with the betrayers, select the dialogue “Meeting you was my reward,” triggering the romantic scene.

To commence this romance option, players first need to complete the “Ambush Interrupted” side quest in Iga. Continue following the questline, until you unlock the “Putting Down Roots” quest.
At the end of this quest, select the “I want more than friendship” dialogue, which will trigger the romantic encounter.
6. Lady Oichi (Yasuke)
Though Lady Oichi is the main target in the story, players can still romance her. To do so, complete “The Wheel Unmasked” quest and unlock the “The Wheel Turns” side quest.
After helping Lady Oichi, select the “Let’s enjoy the moment” dialogue to start the romantic moment.
7. Rin (Yasuke)

To unlock this romance option, players need to complete “Arrow Strike” and “War Horse” side quests. Wait for the season to change and start the new “Ride into Town” quest.
Make sure to flirt with her throughout the quest. Then select the “I would like to kiss you” dialogue for the intimate moment.
