All three are totally different from one another, making them even more memorable when the dust settles on the story.

Redditor Daetok_Lochannis had a hilarious realization about Ketheric Thorm, Gortash, and Orin, pointing out that the three Chosen of the Absolute are actually a great representation of Dungeons and Dragons players that “nobody likes at a table.” Ketheric Thorm is described as “The hyper edgelord whose character is an immortal emo with a backstory that is ridiculously dark.” Gortash is “The player who abuses mechanics to do unintended things like the peasant railgun and bag of holding bombs.” Finally, BG3‘s Orin the Red is a “Murderhobo. Straight up, no frills or gimmicks.”

Larian is preparing to move on from Baldur’s Gate 3 in the near future. At the moment, stress testing for Baldur’s Gate 3‘s Patch 8 is ongoing, with long-awaited features like Photo Mode and crossplay finally on the way to the game, as well as 12 new subclasses. It’s shaping up to be quite a farewell from Larian for the game, after which it will largely be handed off to the community going forward.
