Bloodborne and BioShock Collide in a Stunning Unreal Engine 5 Hellscape – Is This What We’ve Been Begging For?

Bloodborne meets BioShock in stunning new Unreal Engine 5 game

While not inherently horror games, Bloodborne and BioShock can be damn-near terrifying at times.

The real charm of Bloodborne and BioShock is slightly more cosmic though, with powers you can’t quite explain and mysteries that go back years and years, just waiting to be solved.

For an experience kind of similar to those games do check out Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss, a first-person psychological thriller inspired by the work of H.P Lovecraft.

Lovecraft was a master of psychological horror so it’s no wonder his work has inspired so many video games.

Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss is being made with Unreal Engine 5, and you can catch the reveal trailer on YouTube right now for a clue as to what it’s like.

“As the Earth’s surface resources dwindle, powerful corporations turn to the uncharted depths of the oceans, unaware of the ancient horror they are about to awaken. You play Noah, and with the help of Key, your AI companion, you’re tasked to investigate the mysterious disappearance of miners in the depths of the Pacific Ocean” reads part of the description.

It looks intriguing to say the least, and a horror title worth keeping an eye on if you’re into that sort of thing.

You won’t be short of platforms to play it on either, as it’s coming to PC, Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5, happy days.

The only downside is you will be waiting quite a while before it’s out, as at the time of writing it’s eyeing up a 2026 release date.

It’s not the end of the world though, as it gives us time to get hyped for launch day as well as opportunity for more trailers and gameplay footage, we can’t wait.
