Millie Bobby Brown’s early cameo in “Modern Family” surfaces amidst her emotional farewell speech as “Stranger Things” concludes filming.
Millie Bobby Brown is only 20 years old, and she has already done a lot of wonders for the screens. Not only has the stunner earned herself a position among some of the biggest and most fan-favorite franchises of all time, but she has also climbed her way to true recognition in the entertainment industry.

While fans know her for her outstanding performances across multiple genres in pieces like Stranger Things and the Enola Holmes films, what many don’t know is that she was also once a part of a sitcom beloved by many. This is as – as surprising as it may be – she had a cameo appearance in Modern Family!
Millie Bobby Brown once gave a cameo appearance for Modern Family
Over the years, Millie Bobby Brown has starred in quite a lot of projects and has earned herself truckloads of fame through all of them. But while she is known for her major contributions to all those pieces, some of Brown’s minor roles from the early stages of her now-star-studded career aren’t that well-known by fans. Like her cameo in Modern Family.

This dates back to 2015, when the Damsel actress must have been around 9 or 10 years old, in the 17th episode of season 6, ‘Closet? You’ll Love It!’ In the episode, while relaxing in Jay’s garden, the extended family observed a drone hovering over and spying on Gloria. In an attempt to capture the same Luke and Phil jumped on motorcycles to chase it.
In the meanwhile, Manny was seen running behind them, screaming that they stole his bike. But the two don’t stop and instead hilariously point out, “We’re all making sacrifices! I’m wearing a monokini!” That’s when Brown’s Lizzie, one of the Pritchetts’ neighbors, appears in front of Manny, driving on her bike from the other side. See the clip below (via YouTube):
And Manny, of course, steals the bike from her and promises to return it back to her soon, which earns him a “No, that’s what you said about my mom’s humidifier!” from an exasperated Brown in the background. Hilarious yes, and surprising too, for many must not have expected even a tiny Brown to give a cameo in ABC’s award-winning sitcom.
But, then again, it’s Millie Bobby Brown, and she has proven she can do anything through her innumerable acting credits, so is it even that surprising?

On the one hand, while her cameo resurfacing to remind fans that she was actually once a part of a sitcom – even though minor – is one thing, on the other hand, the Godzilla vs. Kong actress is also earning quite a bit of the limelight as of late. This time around, it’s for the emotional Stranger Things speech she delivered while breaking down.
As seen in the excerpt shared by @PopCrave on X, she said:
Listen, graduation’s supposed to bring you relied. Like, you’re glad to leave behind the teachers and classmates. Not me. I am nowhere near ready to leave you guys. I love each and every one of you and I’ll forever carry the memories and bonds we’ve created together as a family. I love you. Thank you.
Of course Brown is heartbroken about it all, considering how she has been a part of the saga ever since she was a child — she was only around 11 years old when she was cast in the thriller series in 2015. That said, it’s only understandable that the cast members have turned into somewhat of her second family, thus her emotional speech.
Either way, the final season of the smash-hit series has already wrapped up, so she will have to bid farewell to this family whether she wants to or not. On the brighter side, this opens up her schedule for numerous other projects that she could deliver even better, so she might as well look forward to better days where she continues to please her fans through her remarkable performances.
Stranger Things season 5 is set to premiere in 2025. The remaining 4 seasons can currently be streamed on Netflix.
