Marvel Studios has partnered with Tide for a string of Brave New World-themed commercials, which are part of the latter’s new “Collateral Stains” campaign. Using footage from the upcoming MCU movie, each commercial shows how everyday citizens sometimes have to face clouds of dirt, spilled coffee, and guacamole stains that occur by them unknowingly being close to some superhero moments, such as President Ross transforming into the Red Hulk. One of these commercials features the return of Dale, who gets his Baskin-Robbins smoothie spilled all over his shirt after Captain America slams into his vehicle after getting hit by the Red Hulk. Check out the Tide commercial below.
Turkington had a memorable role in 2015’s Ant-Man serving as Scott Lang’s (Paul Rudd) manager at a San Francisco-based Baskin-Robbins. Unfortunately, Dale had to fire Lang after learning that he had lied on his job application about his criminal past, but allowed him to take a free serving of ice cream as recompense. Turkington reprised the role for a brief cameo in 2023’s Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, where Dale declares Lang, who is now famous thanks to his heroic pursuits as Ant-Man, as Baskin-Robbins’ employee of the century.
Brave New World Is the Sequel The Incredible Hulk Never Got
Captain America: Brave New World is set to pull double duty, serving primarily as a sequel to the 2021 Disney+ miniseries The Falcon and the Winter Soldier while also resolving dangling storylines from the 2008 film The Incredible Hulk. Tim Blake Nelson and Liv Tyler are returning to the MCU for the first time since The Incredible Hulk, with the former finally getting a chance to play The Leader on the big screen. The Incredible Hulk antagonist Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross, played by William Hurt before his death, will also be part of the action in Brave New World, with Harrison Ford stepping into the role.
Brave New World marks Anthony Mackie’s first time leading a Captain America movie as the Star-Spangled Man, following his character, Sam Wilson, taking over the mantle in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Joining Mackie in the MCU installment are his TFATWS co-stars Danny Ramirez (as Joaquin Torres/Falcon) and Carl Lumbly (as Isaiah Bradley), as well as newcomers Shira Haas as Ruth Bat-Seraph, and Giancarlo Esposito as Seth Voelker/Sidewinder, among others.
Directed by Julius Onah from a screenplay he co-wrote with Malcolm Spellman and Dalan Musson, Captain America: Brave New World opens in theaters on Feb. 14, as part of Phase 5 of the MCU.
