COLDPLAY CHAOS! 😲 Chris Martin is HEARTBROKEN after his viral kiss cam quip led to Astronomer CEO Andy Byron’s SHOCKING resignation! 😱 What did he say that changed everything? 👀
Coldplay front man Chris Martin shared a warning with fans following the viral fallout over the viral kiss cam moment involving Astronomer CEO Andy Bryon.
The Context
The jumbotron mishap became a viral spectacle at a Coldplay concert outside of Boston last week, when it landed on two concert goers panicked reaction.

The moment that captured their mortified expressions was uploaded to TikTok, and the pair was identified as Andy Byron, CEO of the tech firm Astronomer, and Kristin Cabot, the company’s head of Human Resources, who appeared to have been caught canoodling in what has quickly became a viral spectacle. Byron has since tendered his resignation.
What To Know
Speaking to fans during the first concert since, Martin said, “We’d like to say hello to some of you in the crowd,” which was met with raucous laughter.
“How we’re gonna do that is we’re gonna use our cameras and put some of you on the big screen. So please, if you haven’t done your makeup, do your makeup now.”
Martin was jokey with the crowd during the original incident too. When the cameras caught the embarrassed pair—in a moment which has since been viewed more than 119 million times on TikTok—Martin said, “Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy.”
A clip of Martin’s warning to fans was shared to X by an account which posts regular updates about Coldplay. It has been viewed more than 80,000 times since Sunday morning.
The moment captured Byron and Cabot embracing, before springing apart with Cabot covering her face and Byron dropping out of the camera’s shot.
The pair have since become the subject of intense scrutiny, and a flurry of jokes and memes online, due to their alleged infidelity.
Byron had previously led the data infrastructure startup Astronomer from July 2023 up until his resignation on July 20, following the fallout. Neither Byron nor Cabot have publicly commented on the incident.
What People Are Saying
An Astronomer spokesperson told Newsweek in a statement on Saturday: “Astronomer is committed to the values and culture that have guided us since our founding. Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability, and recently, that standard was not met.”
Natalie Trice, publicist and founder of Natalie Trice Publicity, previously told Newsweek: “This isn’t some random ‘kiss-cam’ slip; it’s high-profile theater on a global stage. When the big screen caught Andy Byron, CEO of the billion-dollar AI company Astronomer, alongside HR chief Kristin Cabot, the damage was immediate and public.”

Astronomer’s board of directors have announced the start of a formal search for a new chief executive, and company co-founder Pete DeJoy will serve as interim CEO.
