Cyberpunk 2077 is a very immersive and interactive world, but I can guarantee there’s loads you missed on your first, second, even third playthrough.
For those who’ve thoroughly explored Night City you may have found several interesting secrets, like references to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and even Glados from Valve’s Portal games.
What you might not have known though is you can interact with the pier, specifically the ferris wheel as one player discovered.
“Found out you can quickhack the f****** Ferris wheel” read a post by thelittleveemo, along with a screenshot of them doing exactly that.
Now is there a reason for doing this? No, not really, it’s only useful as a distraction for enemies hanging around it.
That said it’d be cool if you could send it careening through the city like a D-tier Spider-Man villain.
No, its true purpose is to just show how much effort CD Projekt Red put into crafting Cyberpunk 2077’s world, making those rough couple of months when the game launched hurt even more.
It’s also a good example of how far the technology has gone in the game that a normal person can hack enormous structures like this if they’ve got the right implants, though one player recently started a playthrough with no implants for added challenge.
Either way several players didn’t know you could do this, like one who said “Damn, now i have to do another playthrough to test this myself.”
Another remarked how much it sounds like one of those old video game rumours, the kind that’d pop up in magazines and have you race home to try it for yourself, you know the ones.
It’s a neat secret, and hopefully the next Cyberpunk game will feature just as much interactivity with the environment.
