Two years ago, CD Projekt Red confirmed in an interview that the third-person perspective was still undecided for the Cyberpunk 2077 sequel. So, unless the decision is reversed again, the job listing suggests CDPR has chosen to go with the first-person perspective like its predecessor.

Elsewhere in the listing, CDPR also mentions that the Senior Gameplay Animator is expected to whip up “hand-keyed, visually appealing, immersive first-person animation assets” to turn the Cyberpunk 2077 sequel into the studio’s next magnum opus.
It is also worth noting that another job listing published by CDPR confirms that the sequel will feature the most realistic NPC crowds to date. This is something the developers can most likely achieve because of the studio’s portfolio, including behemoths like The Witcher 3.
Unfortunately, we’ll likely have to wait for years to learn more official details for the Cyberpunk 2077 sequel.
