New leaks from a Bethesda employee suggest Todd Howard is taking us to an iconic location in Elder Scrolls 6. However, the anti-woke pundits will not like this.
It’s been six years since the announcement of Elder Scrolls 6, but the highly-anticipated game still hangs in the balance. Bethesda and Todd Howard still haven’t confirmed a single detail about what players can expect in regards to the game’s setting or gameplay.

However, that hasn’t stopped rumors and speculation around the title, especially after a Bethesda employee’s Pinterest board linked to the setting we might see in Elder Scrolls 6. While it’s great to see that Bethesda is returning to this location, it might attract the “woke” allegations.

Ever since Bethesda and Todd Howard announced the Elder Scrolls 6, gamers haven’t stopped speculating about its setting. One of the most popular theories suggests that the title might take us back to Hammerfell, a harsh and unforgiving land that was last seen in the Elder Scrolls 2: Daggerfall. This was all due to the game’s announcement trailer, which showed a terrain similar to that of Hammerfell.
If that announcement wasn’t enough, one of the Bethesda employees, Ray Lederer, who has been a senior concept illustrator at the studio since 2008, might’ve accidentally confirmed that the game is set in Hammerfell. When his Pinterest board was still visible to the public, it showed various pieces of clothing showcasing those that might come from Hammerfell.
What all of these images have in common is that they feature people, art, architecture, and landscapes of North African and Middle Eastern cultures that were the inspirations behind Hammerfell and Redguards in the Elder Scrolls franchise. Long-time fans of the franchise are already well aware of the origins of people from these lands.
However, newcomers to Elder Scrolls 6, and particularly anti-woke pundits, will bash Bethesda and Howard for being “woke” because the game is set in a location that North African and Middle Eastern culture inspire. We’ve already seen such groups causing the downfall of various popular games, so Bethesda must be careful.
A new Elder Scrolls remake is right around the corner

Well, considering the fact that Elder Scrolls 6 is still in early production and Bethesda is trying to bring a polished experience, it’s going to be a long while before we see the game hit the shelves. However, Bethesda has a treat for all Elder Scrolls fans.
Rumors suggest that gamers can soon expect to see an Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remake. It’s not a shock that out of all Elder Scrolls games, Oblivion is receiving the remake treatment since many consider it to be even better than what Howard and his team did with Skyrim.
The remake from Bethesda looks to be targeting a 2025 release date, and gamers are hyped to dig into the title. However, it’s going to be interesting to see what happens with Skyblivion, which was a fan-made remake of Oblivion in Skyrim.
