Like many games before it, The Elder Scrolls VI has become something of a mythical creature over recent years with Bethesda keeping tight-lipped about the highly-anticipated entry.

As the first The Elder Scrolls title since The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, it is safe to say that the release of The Elder Scrolls VI will be a big one… whenever it may arrive.

With just a small teaser trailer released back in 2018 and nothing else since, TES VI is starting to feel like it will never arrive but that has not stopped fans from speculating as to what could be featured when it eventually does.

One such area of discussion surrounds the game’s potential map as we can expect the series to move away from Skyrim alone and explore some nearby territories.

According to a recent post over on r/TESVI, it seems as though one territory fans would like to see covered is Hammerfell and High Rock.

Situated between Skyrim, Cyrodiil and High Rock, Hammerfell is a massive region mostly covered by jungles, mountain ranges, grasslands, swamps, and arid deserts.

On the other hand, High Rock is situated at the northwestern-most point of Tamriel to the west of Skyrim.

With both locations not explored in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, it would be the perfect time to do so in TES VI and thanks to a fan-made map, we can now take a peek at what a potential map could look like.

Created by Reddit user Kbird and shared just recently, the incredibly detailed map shows the aforementioned locations and it is safe to say that it has got fans excited.

“This is the best map idea I’ve seen on here,” user theillbill commented.

“Honestly this map with the POI density of Skyrim would be the perfect ES6. Even if we can’t control our own ships, I like the idea of the sailing routes.”

However, user Morgaiths had some reservations.

“That map looks amazing, props to the artist,” they wrote. “I’m not sure it would be a good idea for Bethesda to make two provinces, because to properly pull it off, it would be like making two TES games in one, if we want the same level of world building Morrowind and Skyrim had.”

Of course, this is just a fan-made map and we have no confirmation as to where The Elder Scrolls VI will even take place altogether so for now, it is back to speculation and hope.
