The publisher’s CEO Lars Wingefors further stated that the right teams should have the time and resources required to execute their vision, emphasizing that when you have trust in these developers, it benefits everyone, leading to brilliant games like Kingdom Come Deliverance 2.

Embracer also revealed that the RPG has almost sold 2 million copies, which is a big milestone for the company after a dismal 2024. The Swedish gaming giant has struggled in recent years due to a flurry of bad games, leading to the closure of multiple studios and uncountable layoffs.
But, with Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 inside the Steam top 50 popular games and showing no signs of stopping, Embracer finally seems to be finding its footing. Hopefully, the publisher can learn that $70 games still have a huge market and that talent is needed for them to work, not AI.
